What I love about Photography

Hi everyone!! I hope you're all doing well.

So I decided to write a little post about why I love Photography so much. There is quite a few reasons why but one of the main reasons is capturing moments you'll never experience again. I'll summarise it in just one quote that I came across a long time ago.
"What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” - Karl Lagerfeld.

My Grandad recently just passed away and when he died, all I wanted was to look back at photos of us and there wasn't that many. Of course I had all of the beautiful memories of him and I in my head but I wanted to physically see them. I don't know if anyone else likes to look back and reminisce on photos but it's one of my favourite things to do. My Nanny also passed away in 2007 and I have just a few photos of her to look back on. It kind of upsets me that I don't have that many images to put up around my house or office and that's what I want to change for people.
Don't be afraid to capture those memories and put them in an album. I hate that photo albums have gone out of style and not many people have them anymore, they just have all the images on their phones. I LOVE having albums, I already have a few and I can't wait to make more.

Photography is a lot more than just taking the photos, putting them online and then claiming I'm a photographer. Photography is an art, it takes you to places you have never been. When I am photographing a landscape, an animal, an object, a person my worries just fade away and I become one with my subject and my surroundings. This earth is full of beautiful human beings and amazing scenery that we sometimes take for granted. And I hope you all take this journey with me and see the beauty in this world through my photos.

It's definitely a passion for me. I've loved photos and photography in general probably since I was about 11 or 12. I've always been vocal with everyone on how much I love capturing everything & anything. I love being able to look back and have all these photos with people I once loved and cared for or even still do and have no regrets on any of those moments.
My parents got me my own camera in 2010/2011 and I even still have it to this day. (Obviously not the one I currently use) I used that camera more than anything I owned, I always asked friends or family if they wanted to go out, get ready and take pictures because it's what I loved to do. My sisters & parents know more than anyone on how much I loved taking photos of us all, again - I still do.

Here are some of the photos I took in 2011 when I first got my camera hahaha!

Pursuing Photography as a business is obviously going to take lots of years to build clientele, a portfolio and learn even more ways to better my skills. I don't want to just put every photo I take up online because that's just a waste of time for me. I want to show everyone my BEST work and photos and the best quality. "Quality not Quantity"

I hope everyone realises now why I love Photography so much and why I chose to pursue it. And I hope some of you read this and want me to photograph some beautiful moments for either you & your significance other, a family member or members or whomever it may be.

Thank you all for reading, and until next time!!

Lots of love,
